Developmental Disabilities
Funding for this initiative has focused on providing services for individuals with developmental disabilities while also addressing the needs of individuals with profound disabilities. Support has been directed to agencies that provide residential housing, supportive employment services, and life skills training.
In addition, capital support has funded sheltered workshops, which aim at teaching people job skills that may possibly lead to community employment. Support for new construction or renovation of facilities has allowed service providers to care for the high medical needs of individuals with developmental and profound disabilities.
