Disability Services

The Foundation supports various programs aimed at helping individuals with disabilities achieve self-determination, self-reliance, and self-respect. These programs have historically been focused on individuals with developmental disabilities. Programs have focused on housing, life skills and supportive employment.

In support of treatment for people with disabilities, the Foundation established the Coleman Chair in Rehabilitation Medicine at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago in 1985. The chair is currently held by Dr. Kristi Kirschner.
