Invited Proposal

After reviewing the Letter of Inquiry, the Foundation will contact the submitting organization with a decision as to whether a full proposal will be invited. To submit an invited proposal, please download and complete the Proposal Guidelines.

What to include should a proposal be invited

  • An abstract of the program or project
  • Statement of organization's history and accomplishments
  • Description of program or project
  • Statement of goals of the program/project and how goals will be evaluated
  • Budget for proposed program or project (using Budget Template)
  • Proof of organization's non-profit tax status - 509(a)(1) or 501(c)(3)
  • List of organization's Board of Directors
  • Current organization budget
  • Most current audited financial statement.

Proposals should be submitted as quickly as possible, and at minimum 45 to 60 days in advance to be considered at the next meeting of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Foundation staff conducts due diligence, site visits, meetings, and assessment necessary to make presentations and funding recommendations to the Board.

The Board meets four times per year. Historically, these meetings have occurred in February, May, August and November. The submitting organization is notified within two weeks of the Board’s decision.
