An Overview of What We Fund

The Foundation concentrates on a set of primary program areas, maintains a regional geographic focus on metropolitan Chicago and select parts of the Midwest. The three primary program areas are:

  • Cancer Care - support for comprehensive treatment programs; education initiatives for cancer patients and medical personal; medical collaborations to deliver psychosocial support and palliative care; and programs to improve communication of treatment options to patients. The Foundation's vision is that cancer patients in the Chicago Metro area area fully engaged in their treatment plan, and achieve the best possible outcome and quality of life. The Cancer Impact Plan outlines the particular strategies the Foundation seeks to fund and their anticipated outcomes.

  • Developmental Disablilities - support for residential and vocational programs that encourage independence for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as other initiatives that enable residential and vocational goal achievement. The Foundation's vision is that individuals in the Chicago metropolitan area with developmental disabilities will experience a higher quality of life and increased self-determination through success in their work, comfort in their home and satisfaction across varied states of their lives. The Developmental Disabilities Impact Plan outlines the particular strategies the Foundation seeks to fund and their anticipated outcomes.

  • Entrepreneurship Education - support for educational institutions that provide opportunities for emerging student entrepreneurs to experience richer experiential co-curricular activities over the course of their academic education. The Foundation's vision of success is that emerging entrepreneurs will be successful at starting and running their businesses as a result of their exposure to entrepreneurship education. The Entrepreneurship Impact Plan
    outlines the particular strategies the Foundation seeks to fund and their anticipated outcomes.
